Terms & Conditions
Last updated January 2026. Written plainly, because a booking should never come with surprises.
1. Agreement
These terms govern makeup, hair and body-art services provided by Makeup by Sana Kinaan in the United Arab Emirates. Placing a booking confirms your acceptance of them.
2. Bookings and deposits
Dates are held only once a deposit is received. Deposits are deducted from the final balance and are non-refundable, but may be transferred once to an alternative date within twelve months subject to availability. Enquiries, quotations and verbal agreements do not reserve a date.
3. Payment
The remaining balance is payable on or before the day of service unless agreed otherwise in writing. All prices are quoted in UAE dirhams (AED).
4. Cancellation and postponement
Cancellation more than thirty days before the booking releases you from any further balance. Cancellation within thirty days may incur up to fifty per cent of the agreed fee; within seven days, the full fee may apply, reflecting the date having been declined to other clients. In the rare event that we must cancel, any deposit is refunded in full and we will make every reasonable effort to arrange a qualified replacement artist.
5. Timing and access
Please be ready at the agreed start time with clean, moisturised, product-free skin. Late starts may shorten the service, as subsequent bookings cannot be delayed. Overtime beyond the agreed duration is charged pro rata. You are responsible for arranging venue access, a working power socket and adequate lighting.
6. Travel
Standard travel within Dubai is included. Travel to other Emirates, remote venues, or appointments requiring a start before 05:00 may carry a supplement, always quoted in advance.
7. Skin, allergies and patch testing
You must disclose all allergies, skin conditions, recent treatments and sensitivities before your appointment. Patch tests are available on request and are strongly recommended for prosthetic, adhesive and body-paint work. We use professional, skin-safe products but cannot accept liability for reactions arising from undisclosed conditions.
8. Trials
Bridal trials are charged separately unless included in your package. The agreed trial look is documented and reproduced on the day; substantial changes requested on the wedding morning may not be achievable within the scheduled time.
9. Satisfaction
Please raise any adjustment while we are still present, and we will correct it at no cost. No refunds are offered once the artist has left the venue.
10. Images and intellectual property
We retain copyright in photographs of our own work. Images are published only with your consent. All text, images and design on this website are the property of Makeup by Sana Kinaan and may not be reproduced without written permission.
11. Conduct and safety
We reserve the right to end an appointment without refund where the working environment is unsafe, abusive, or where a client is under the influence of substances that make safe service impossible.
12. Liability
Our liability in respect of any booking is limited to the value of the fee paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
13. Force majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, illness or government restriction. In such cases we will refund the deposit or transfer the booking.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
