Privacy Policy
Last updated January 2026. Written plainly, because a booking should never come with surprises.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Makeup by Sana Kinaan, a licensed freelance makeup and hair artistry practice based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question, contact us at makeup@makeupbysanakinaan.com or +971 55 620 4072.
2. What information we collect
This is a static website. We do not operate a database, an analytics account or an advertising pixel. The only information we receive is what you choose to send us:
- Enquiry details you type into the booking or contact form — name, phone number, email address, event date, location, occasion and message. These are assembled into a message in your own WhatsApp or email application. Nothing is transmitted to this website's server, and nothing is stored here.
- Correspondence you send us by WhatsApp, email, telephone or social media, retained only as long as needed to serve you and meet UAE record-keeping obligations.
3. Cookies and local storage
We set no tracking, advertising or profiling cookies. Your browser stores two purely functional preferences on your own device: your chosen light or dark theme, and whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. Clearing your browser data removes both. Embedded Google Maps frames are served by Google and are subject to Google's own privacy policy.
4. How we use your information
Solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, confirm and deliver your booking, and keep the records the UAE requires of a licensed business. We never sell, rent or trade your details.
5. Sharing
We share information only where necessary to deliver your booking — for example with an assisting artist working alongside us at your event — or where required by UAE law. Message content sent through WhatsApp is additionally subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
6. Photography and image consent
We may photograph completed work. Images are only published to this website or social media with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by contacting us; we will then remove the images from channels under our control as soon as reasonably possible.
7. Retention
Enquiry correspondence is retained for up to twenty-four months from your last contact, unless a longer period is required for legal or accounting purposes.
8. Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to makeup@makeupbysanakinaan.com and we will respond within thirty days.
9. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Because no personal data is stored on the website itself, the principal safeguards apply to our own devices and correspondence, which are password-protected and kept current.
10. Children
We provide children's face painting services, always with a parent or guardian present and consenting. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version always appears on this page.
